The world timer complication was invented in the 1930s by Louis Cottier; a complication for travellers that needed to know the time in a specific time zone via an outer ring which showed important world time zones. Early Patek world timers had a second crown, but by introduction of ref 5110, a second crown was not needed as Patek introduced a new cal 240/188, where they added a pusher at 11 for moving the inner bezel. There is nothing more satisfying than pushing this button – one can feel the PP quality!

The reference 5110 is housed in a Clatrava case, one of the most timeless and elegant wristwatches that has ever been produced.

The white gold case with lovely curved lugs is in outstanding condition.
The dial has a lot of detail, with guilloche in the centre, a multi coloured (black for night and silver for day) plaque in the guilloche with the Patek logo and City names for the major time zones.
The watch comes on an original Patek leather strap with white gold folding clasp. The movement has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
